School Student Workshop: Newcastle Storytellers
In this workshop we look at our lives and stories that stand out and why they sound out for us. We then discuss the art of verbal storytelling, the rollercoaster of emotion and a beginning, a middle and an end. We then form groups and workshop a story per group. Each group heads into Newcastle Libraries podcast studio and record some stories in groups. Suitable for Years 5 and up.

School Student Workshop: Professional Podcasters of the Future
We workshop all our different interests, form groups then create a theoretical podcast about a subject students are passionate about. We then workshop how they could connect with brands that would work with their content and discuss monetising content in a meaningful way. As well as writing some copy for advertising in the podcast. We then produce them in groups.
School Student Workshop: Podcasting to Effect Change
We talk about things that matter to us and then are given examples of people in the space that have effected change through Podcasting. We form several groups on matters that relate to our interests in regards to effecting change for the common good and create podcast audio imaging copy for those in groups. We discuss people we’d get onto the podcast and ways in which we’d leverage their visibility to effect the greater good. We go into the studio and record a ‘trailer’ for our podcast in groups.
