Festival precinct
The festival is based at the new Digital Library in Newcastle West with special events at the Playhouse in the Civic Precinct and at the Novotel Newcastle in Newcastle East.
Festival venue staff will be welcoming and available to help make your festival experience enjoyable.
Venue access
Digital Library
12 Stewart Ave Newcastle West (corner Hunter St)
The Digital Library can be accessed via a ramp on Stewart Ave and flat entry once inside the building. The venue has an accessible toilet and reserved accessible parking can be arranged in advance.
The Playhouse
375 Hunter St Newcastle
The Playhouse can be accessed via stairs or lift (go to Level 2). The venue has an accessible toilet on Level 1. No reserved parking.
Novotel Newcastle
5 King St Newcastle
The Novotel can be accessed via flat entry.
Accessible parking
Accessible parking spaces can be found at the following locations within close proximity to festival venues:
– Florence St Newcastle West
– Auckland Street (between Hunter Street and King Street)
– Corner King and Burwood Streets (near Newcastle City Council Administration Building)
– End of Burwood Street towards the Court.– In the Council car park behind Newcastle Region Library (enter via Queen Street).

Assistance for people who are blind or vision impaired
Guide Dogs and Assistance Dogs are welcome at all festival events and venues.
